* Green-Certified refers to having completed one or more of several courses now offered to real estate brokers. These include:
National Association of Realtors (NAR) Green Designation, which requires three full days of specific coursework.
EcoBroker, a private company offering green designation since 2002.
Green Real Estate Education, a private company offering courses and designations for Realtors and other building-related industries.
** All real estate licensees are not the same. Only real estate licensees who are members of the National Association of Realtors® are properly called Realtors®. They are bound by a strict code of ethics to treat all parties to a transaction honestly and to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate.
The education and personal commitment of Green Realtors® takes this knowledge even further.
